Resident Evil (in Japan known as Biohazard) is one of the best known horror survival video games in the world. First released in 1996 by Capcom on Playstation, the franchise has expanded over the last 20 years also into comics, live-action movies, novels and many more. Possibly the best widely recognized “logo” from the game is that of the Umbrella Corporation, an international fictional pharmaceutical company.

Resident Evil is a very large franchise so it’s no wonder a lot of merchandise has been released during the years. The newest game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, is due to release on January 24th, 2017 worldwide (January 26th in Japan) for Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4, therefore to celebrate that I decided to bring you some great Resident Evil merchandise.

If you are not familiar with the general plotline of the series, Resident Evil usually follows a group of protagonists (most notable characters: Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker), who try to battle against Umbrella Corporation and related characters who have developed the T-virus, which can turn people into zombies or horrifying monsters among other things.

Game pre-order and console stickers

As I mentioned above, the new Resident Evil 7 is coming out on January 24th. You can pre-order the game here for your preferred system in both physical and download versions for selected platforms.

Resident Evil 7 + console stickers

There are a lot of Resident Evil console stickers, most of them feature the Umbrella Corporation logo. I think they look very stylish. My favorite is probably the PS4 sticker, since it can cover the whole console unlike the Xbox One. You can choose a variety of designs, on the picture above I chose two – a simple logo and the Xbox One version of the PS4 sticker.

Resident Evil Deck Building Game

If you are a fan of the franchise as well as card games, these deck building games and expansion are definitely for you! Get one of the base games, Resident Evil DBG or Resident Evil: Alliance and expand them with the Nightmare Edition, Mercenaries and/or Outbreak expansion sets.

Resident Evil Hoodies & Jumpers

It’s still winter in most places, so a hoodie is a perfect item that will keep you warm. You can preorder the black Umbrella Corporation hoodie (along with a t-shirt with the same design) and the gas mask jumper. The black, white and red Umbrella Corporation hoodie is available for sale right now.

Resident Evil Posters

On this page I also like to give a nod to the numerous creators and artists who take their favorite game and make cool art. I’ve chosen a few art prints by talented people at Society6. Some of these designs can be found on another products as well, so check them out! The inky Umbrella Corp. logo is simple yet effective. Resident Evil Story is an eyecatching art based on typography and elements from the game. Leon’s Revenge is a comics style artwork based on the game. And at last but not at least, a warning biohazard poster.

Resident Evil T-shirt

I really love the way they incorporated the ‘7’ in the Resident Evil logo, it’s very eyecatching and I think also very clever. You can pre-order the black shirt here, the white ‘VII’ shirt, as well as the more general ones, ‘Don’t open that door‘ and Umbrella corporation logo in blue.

I haven’t really tried VR yet (mostly because 3D gives me a headache) but I can imagine that it’s very scary with it!
