Happy holidays everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t updated for a while, I’ve taken on a second job, so it has been quite hectic lately. Either way I should have more free time in April, so I can update more regularly. Let’s look at some of the upcoming video games for this month, shall we?
Dark Rose Valkyrie
Compile Heart / Windows
Dark Rose Valkyrie has been out for Playstation 4 for nearly a year but it’s now coming to the Windows platform. The game takes place in alternate reality Japan in 1929 and the player needs to stop spreading the “Chimera” disease which turns people into dangerous creatures. Iron Galaxy / Windows, Xbox One, Playstation 4
Extinction is a game where the player takes on the role of Avil, one of the last defendants against the giant “ogres” Ravenii. Third person view, dynamic side missions, parkour and skill based combat are only some of the things that make up this game. Pre-order Extinction here.
Yakuza 6 The Song of Life
Sega / Playstation 4
Yakuza 6 has been out in Japan since late 2016 but it’s only now coming out worldwide in April. Yakuza is action-adventure single player game in an open world, using a third person view. Pre-order Yakuza 6 here.
God of War 4
SIE Santa Monica Studio / Playstation 4
God of War 4 is the eight installment of the franchise, a sequel to God of War 3. In this Playstation 4 exclusive you play as Kratos, a god living as a man with his son Atreus. The game differs from its predecessors in the third person over the shoulder view and the switch from Greek Mythology to Nordic one. 11bit studios / Windows
Probably one of the more hyped games of April, Frost Punk is a city-building survival game, where the player is a leader of a group who have tried to escape the cold weather in search of heat generator. From then on, you’re struggling to survive the harsh elements while building your city and keeping it running with as few problems as possible while forming a new society with new laws and customs. Harebrained Schemes / Windows, OS X, Linux
BattleTech is an action adventure strategy game, both single and multiplayer, where giant mechanized vehicles called BattleMech fight in war of noble houses in the year 3025. The player is a mercenary commander leading a team of battlemechs serving one of the noble houses and then is responsible for all their battlemechs, their model, skills, etc. You can pre-order BattleTech for Steam here or you can grab the deluxe edition here.
