I have been searching for a new gaming crate to test out after I decided not to get My Geek Box any longer. I was lucky to find a couple of new gaming subscription boxes, so I started with the UK based Colossal Crate. Continue Reading
Resident Evil (in Japan known as Biohazard) is one of the best known horror survival video games in the world. First released in 1996 by Capcom on Playstation, the franchise has expanded over the last 20 years also into comics, live-action movies, novels and many more. Resident Evil is a very large franchise so it’s no wonder a lot of merchandise has been released during the years. The newest game, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, is due to release on January 24th, 2017 worldwide (January 26th in Japan) for Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4, therefore to celebrate that I decided to bring you some great Resident Evil merchandise. At the end of May I got an email that my next Infinity Crate for June was dispatched. I thought that maybe they messed up and sent it by accident because I clearly remember cancelling my 1 month subscription (which was a test, you can find the May crate review here). Lo and behold a week or so later I actually got the box and it was a mistake on my part because I cancelled it only after I paid for the June one.
I really can’t complain, it’s a win/win situation for me. As always, I’m here for you guys to give my unbiased and honest opinion on the contents. Let’s get on it! Continue Reading
If you are a geek and have been around the internet for a while, I think that you might be familiar with the term ‘cosplay’. For those of you who are lost, cosplay means ‘costume play’, where people portray their favorite characters from movies, games, tv shows, comics, etc. Cosplayers usually don’t just walk around every day like that but instead choose conventions of all kinds to show their love and geekery. In my quest of searching for more geeky subscription boxes, I’ve had a rather tough time. Boxes I’d love to try don’t ship to my country, so I have to search really hard. However, I have came across Infinity Crates. This UK based service offers a few options – Classic Crate, Premium Crate, Kids Crate and T-shirt only Crate. Continue Reading
If you’ve been a frequent or semi-frequent visitor to my little blog, you probably noticed that I haven’t updated in a couple of weeks. The reason is simple. I have been working on an exciting new feature for the website, coding away in my free time until the late hours of the night. 🙂 As the title of this post reveals, I have added a new section for the website called Gaming Gift Ideas. If you’ve been on my blog before, you know that I have some pretty awesome friends. Last Christmas I got spoiled with a Assassin’s Creed Connor wallet and art book, but I also got this great Altair style Assassin’s Creed messenger bag (official product). I know that from photos it’s really hard to visualize how much stuff you can put it and what all the materials are, so I’ll do my best to give you an honest and complete review. Continue Reading
I’ve been browsing the internet for some new Assassin’s Creed hoodies and found quite a few that I liked. I found 6 official hoodies from the most recent games *and* I found out that the store offers free worldwide shipping. Continue Reading
Mass Effect is a popular sci-fi action RPG game developed by BioWare first released in 2007 for Xbox 360. The first three games set in distant future revolve around the main character, Commander Shepard (player can choose female or male). Mass Effect 3 ended Shepard’s trilogy but there’s a new Mass Effect in works with new characters.
I’ve put together a list of the most popular Mass Effect action figures, based on user reviews. Get your geek on! Continue Reading
Have you designed a great fan art of your favorite video game and think it would look great on something like a t-shirt, hoodie, mug or perhaps a tote bag? Thanks to the internet now you don’t have to search for a printing service in your city. Instead, you can create your own t-shirt online very easily from the comfort of your own home (and maybe earn a few dollars)!
I’ve picked a selection of several print on demand (POD) services which I have used in the past. I’ve listed pros and cons of each service from my perspective. The list is in no particular order. Continue Reading
The Legend of Zelda is probably one of the most famous video game series of all time. It has been first released by Nintendo in 1986 and since then the series expanded into 18 more games and spin offs, including a TV show and manga adaptations. This fantasy action-adventure game centers around the character of Link, whose aim is to save Princess Zelda and the land of Hyrule against Ganondorf/Ganon and other monsters.
In this article I picked 12 Legend of Zelda t-shirts and hoodies that I personally liked (it was really tough to just choose 6 of each though!). Most of these on the list are fanmade but I have put one or two official apparel in there as well. Continue Reading
